DASCOM Americas Announces New Serial Impact Printers with DEC® Emulation. LA2800 Series is Rated for Heavy Workloads with Faster and Quieter Operation.

Sep 30, 2020

DASCOM Americas (www.dascomamericas.com), a recognized leader in business document print solutions, today announced two new high-speed serial matrix printers with DEC® emulation.  Both the LA2810 and LA2820 are built for performance in rigorous environments and carry rated workloads of 50,000 pages per month.  In addition, the LA2810 and LA2820 are extremely fast with the LA2820 able to print up to 1200 characters per second at 12 CPI.

The new printers are designed for heavy-duty printing in industrial or office environments where multi-part forms printing is a regular part of business operations.

The new printers have long-life heavy-duty print heads rated at 750 million characters, are available with a host of connectivity options, provide true zero tear capability for no wasted forms, and are up to 10% quieter than their predecessor models.

According to Lance Clark, DASCOM Americas National Sales Manager: “These new printers will bring great speed and flexibility in forms handling for customers who continue to operate in the DEC® environment with their mission-critical printing.  DASCOM is one of only a few companies that continue to invest in print technology, and this offering will help users in the DEC® printing space be more efficient with their document solutions challenges.”

The printers will be sold by a select group of national and regional printer distribution partners who specialize in complete print solutions.  Many of these distribution partners have more than 25 years of experience in the printing industry and serve some of the largest organizations around the globe.  DASCOM itself traces its printing research, design, and manufacturing of printers back more than 30 years and continues to invest in print solutions at a time when many in the industry are either exiting printing or not investing in new technology improvements or enhancement.

Data sheets on the new printers and other information on the company’s product line can be found on the company website at www.dascomamericas.com.
